SANAYGURO National Training for SPA Teachers
In support of the NCCA-DepEd Cultural Education Program
(Memorandum of Agreement signed February 9, 2013), the NCCA Subcommission on the Arts, the ARTIST-PARS Association Inc and ARTIST Inc will conduct 2014 SANAYGURO National Arts Training for Teachers of the Special Program in the Arts (SPA) on the following dates and venues:
October 18-22, 2014 DepEd ECOTECH Center
Lahug, CEBU CITY
October 24-28, 2014 BAGUIO CITY and in
DAVAO CITY
Six art disciplines namely theater, dance music, visual, creative writing and media arts are to be implemented with 30 expected slots for each workshop. Each of the seminar-workshops aims to provide the SPA teachers with comprehensive training on developing regional heritage-based lesson exemplar for SPA courses, facilitating integrated and multi-arts workshops, providing artistic guidance, and production of instruction materials. Specifically, the objectives of the activity are the following:
a. To train teacher-participants in teaching the production and processes of original arts through a creation process that reflects the core values of SPA curriculum aligned with the K to 12 curriculum;
b. To produce and disseminate instructional materials for SPA curriculum.
3. The target participants of the seminar-workshops are those teachers who will be handling Grades 9 and 10 and have attended the SANAYSINING 2013.
The NCCA shall provide the scholarship programs with free registration , workshop kits and materials for the duration of the workshop for the first thirty (30) participants in each art discipline of the multi-arts of the island cluster/venue (a total of 180 participants per level in each cluster island/venue).Transportation, accommodation and other expenses not covered by the scholarship provisions shall be charged to local funds.
Beyond the first list of enrolees, each participant shall be charged a registration fee of One Thousand Pesos (P 1,000.00) to cover expenses for registration, workshop kits and materials. They shall also be responsible for all other relative expenses which may be charged to local funds.
Participants must be nominated and endorsed by the schools division/city superintendents (SDSs), district supervisors, or heads of the secondary schools.
